Re: Andalucia Maps?

hi rhody,

topographic maps of Spain 1:25,000 you can get from an ECWP server.
You have to use an ecwp client like GlobalMapper, TTQV4, TatukGIS . . .

Hi Michael,

I recommend TTQV to calibrate maps and export them for Pathaway. Especially German maps. . .

Re: size of maps

1) What is the best size for a map? What's best : one map of 10 Mb or dividing this map in 10 submaps of 1 Mb? Should there be an overlay or is it best to cut the map simply in pieces? Hi Guido, I'm using Orthophotos with 82MB (9.113x10.080 pixel) on the SD card on my iQue3600. It's better if the m...

Does this mean you produce a number of maps of the same locality, each at a different scale? This must take a lot of storage memory. Hi Roman, normally I have different maps at different scale from different sources, see http://www.kinetz.de/files/zoom/zoom.html Yes - it takes a lot of storage memo...

Re: Pathaway zoom out

Hi Roman,

I avoid problems from zooming by using maps at different scales. I never had problems changing these maps.

Re: Hi, I'm searching madeira island maps

I'm searching madeira island maps ? Hi Doud, as you can see on my Madeira page that there is no other solution for a Pocket PC than scanning paper maps and calibrate the scans for Pathaway. For prices you can read the website from IGeoE or use the PPC-package for Madeira (49 €) http://www.mapadvent...

Re: TTQV DEMO..

hi all, if you have problems with the ECW version of the Blue Marble files you can try the JPG version. The images have reduced quality but the same amount of pixels (each part is 10800x10800). So you need WindowsXP (or Windows2000) and at least 500MB RAM to open this JPG files. If you have problems...

hi rimmon,

sometimes there are problems with TTQV and ECW files. An installation of the ERMapper software can help. Anyhow . . .
To avoid these problems with ECW files I will convert the TIFFs to JPG and upload a new ZIP archive.

stay tuned . . .

has the feature "export to the Pathaway Palm database" greyed out. hi, this feature you found by clicking on the disk symbol is not for maps  It's for tracks, waypoints or routes. Re: Comm problems through iQue HotSync cradle

Can anyone offer some suggestions on how to get the two devices to talk to one another? Hi Barry, AFAIK no mapping program for Garmin GPSR can use a direct connection to the iQue - because it's a Palm PDA (or Windows PPC). You have to store the data in files, transfer the files via HotSync or card ...
