Re: PWWebMaps on external SD card

But beware: If you need to uninstall pathaway for some reason (e.g. a reinstallation) all your offline Webmaps automatically get removed by Android OS, when stored in the Android/data/.. folder! This happened to me once for several GB of Map Data I downloaded over weeks, and I still can remember how...

It seems, that I just "takes some time" till the update to pro happens on the other device. But I'm not sure if someone has to "allow" or "enable" the pro on the other device.

Upgrade to (PlayStore) Pro License

It seems not possible to buy an upgrade to the Pro version, which is not bound to the UID of the android installation like the PlayStore Express Version I have (or more precise: an upgrade which is valid for every UID of my devices running with my google account): * PlayStore doesn't offer an Upgrad...

Bug or not?

I would really like to know:

Is it not fully implemented, am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?

Smart Zoom?

Like in the WM version, it would be quite useful in the android version, too, when the Web Maps would get displayed automatically (if they has been enabled or even already cached), when no .prc map data is available (+/- is white). This behaviour is very intuitive and avoids laborious enabling and d...

Customizable Favorites Menu

The WM Version allowed to customize the Favorites Menu: The Favorites menu provides quick access to your most commonly used commands. It is customizable so you can add your favorite commands or remove commands you don’t use. To add a command to the Favorites menu, simply Tap and Holdon any Finger To...

path to external SD

Thanks a lot! The above mentioned paths to the external SD card: /ext_card/.. /sdcard1/.. are valid alternatives to /storage/sdcard1 on a Sony Xperia Z Ultra with Android 4.3 . The other list above I found on the internet. I am sure the (automatic) support for external SD card will help a lot of use...

That's fair?

Hello?? Anybody home??? I asked something.. The answer seems: no and none. Even in the latest version it neither seems possible to select the (one!) folder with the maps, nor does a PathAway folder in external SD card gets found (neither /ext_card/PathAway nor /sdcard1/Path/way) This means: You real...

Dear Scott, Is the "multiple customizable folder" for maps option available now for the Express Edition (as promised)? If you are not going to implement it, what paths are checked to find any external storage and possibly a pathaway folder containing maps? /storage/sdcard1 //!< Motorola Xoom /storag...

Thanx a lot!

Mayby it is a good idea to check all entries in /mnt/..

$ ls /mnt
asec
obb
sdcard
sdcard2
secure
usbdrive

Or at least '/mnt/*card*/Pathaway' ?

But only, if this doesn't delay the implementation of free configurable paths :-)

Thank you Scott, for your quick reply! On my device all the maps copied to /sdcard/PathAway/*.prc gets listed in pathaway (data/maps), but none of the maps in /sdcard2/PathAway. /sdcard2/ is the root of the externaly accessible (plugged) sdcard. Both sd cards show up in /mnt as sdcard and sdcard2 Th...

What a regress! Why do I have to import every single map????
Why isn't every .prc file in the Pathaway folder used like with the PDA version?
If at least the directory would be remeberd for the next import!
To climb around in the directory tree for every map single map is ridiculous.
