Bluetooth On A Palm Vx

Well I got my Bluetooth GPS from singapore but I still cannot get any significant communication. I am blaming the fact that the M515 Palm PC and the bluetooth adapter with which I am using it (BLUEM) are quite dated now and are probably the reason for my failure. PW is working beautifully using a se...

I am revisiting this problem. I dont like to be beaten !!!! I read every posting in this forum which mentioned BLUETOOTH and came across a recommendation by a guest "MRUSHT" suggesting the purchase of a receiver from AKTRONIX in Singapore. My existing serial GPS contains a sirf 3 chipset and it is m...

Bluetooth on a palm VX

Scott, I ran a pretty comprehensive test as promised:- Protocol = NEMEA Baud = 4800 Timer Com = Checked The bluetooth connected fine and my position was shown accurately on the map. It seemed to be pretty stationary on the map ( I was sitting in the garden ) with the position arrow just flicking sli...

Bluetooth on a palm VX

Scott,

Thank you for that. I think you are right. I noticed last night that the unit could indeed communicate at 4800 baud and that that setting seemed to give the best results.
I will carry out exhaustive tests this evening and report my findings.

Thank you for your quick reply.

Bluetooth On a Palm VX

Scott, I realised that asking for Bluetooth on a palm vx was asking a bit much so I abandoned the VX in favour of a Palm M515. I bought a BlueM bluetooth sled and a brand new IBLUE 737 which is the latest all singing and all dancing GPS receiver. The only snag is that it wont hold a reliable fix on ...

Bluetooth On A Palm Vx

I am about to obtain a TDK Blue5 Bluetooth Sled for my Palm VX . Will Pathaway run on this setup via bluetooth.? What I mean is that the bluetooth sled will only work with Palm O/S up to version 3.3. Pathaway 4 requires version greater than version 3.5. what about earlier versions of pathaway? would...

wAAS EGNOS SATELLITE RECEPTION

Thank you Gerhard. I had twelve sats showing on sunday all with good signal strength, I also had an unrestricted view of the southern sky. I had no little ds and all of the sats were numbered below 30 so I guess that I cannot expect any help from egnos in Stoke-On-Trent. Can anybody expand on that t...

WAAS/EGNOS Satellite reception

Has anybody any experience of how Pathaway deals with displaying Waas/Egnos corrected satellite information in "Satellite sky view" or "satellite info view"

I am using a serf iii waas/egnos enabled GPS mouse with my handheld in GB and wonder what I should be seeing ( if anything).

Regards

Sounds

Scott, Thank you for the quick response. I am pleased that you read my post but I am NOT concerned with the GPS alarms. I want to associate my own sound with a point and I am at a loss as to how to do it. Please help me on this one as the program is performing excellently for me and adding a sound i...

Map manager defaults, JPR etc

Can I echo these comments.!!!! by bwims. Like Brian I am going round the twist calibrating a multitude of OSGB maps. At least make the entry boxes "sticky" so that entering parameters once at the start of a session is possible.

'''''''' Thank you The Snake and Scott, I can now do it. Firstly I learned that I must no longer set the GPS to simulate my position as a means of checking the software , It must be done live in the field ( or in my garden) with the Gps set to WGS84 Scotts Explanation of the pref...

Calibrating OSGB Maps

Further Info. I took the gps outside ( instead of using it in simulator mode ) and with it set to wgs84 my position WAS much closer to where it should be . I then altered the gps to output as OSGB and the map moved to show my correct position just for a few microseconds before Pathaway informed my t...
