Leigh:
Excellent - Thanks for the info. I'll probably pick up a BT GPS in the next few days. My main concern was that it didn't have the same sort of issues as the LifeDrive is having (losing connectivity, etc.) with bluetooth. Sounds like all is ok with the TX!
Thanks again!

Palm TX & Bluetooth GPS
I'm a relatively long-time Pathaway user & am extremely happy with the software. I use it regularly for Geocaching, vacations, short & long trips, etc. Currently I use PW with my Palm TX and a Rayming TripNav 204 GPS "mouse". It works like a dream, I very seldom lose signal, even in heavy br...

Downloads?
Is there something I'm missing? I'm a registered user & can't seem to find the link to download the .42 version anywhere. There don't appear to be any actual links to downloadable files on the download page. Perhaps I'm at the wrong place? If so, could someone post the correct URL please? Dodger

I can't speak to the memory leaks, but I also have Pathaway 4.00.38 installed on a Palm TX. I'm not using a bluetooth GPS though - I'm using a serial GPS (TripNav TN204) connected via a cable to the palm multi-connector. I've tried to force a reset by scrolling through each of the views then exiting...

Yup yup... And after testing the eastern Ontario ones I've calibrated, I am exceptionally impressed with the accuracy. I was a little confused when I noticed all sorts of "water features" (little rivers) showing up all over my topo maps in places where I was positive there were no rivers - Driving a...

PWMapConvert and PWM files
If I am reading the documentation correctly, I should be able to use a .PWM file along with a BMP with the same filename in PWMapConvert to create calibrated Palm PRC map files. From the PathAway Map Conversion Tools document: PWM Map Definition Format Map calibration files can be creating by creati...

Well - After some digging, I was able to figure out how to accurately and easily calibrate maps downloaded from WMS servers for Pathaway. If anyone is interested in an example (this one is in eastern Ontario but all of Canada is available), point your browser HERE - This will display an 800 X 800 to...

Advice on calibrating WMS maps
The Canadian Government has seen fit to offer, free of charge, access to it's topographical WMS (Web Map Server) map database. The maps can be viewed online using any one of a number of web interfaces, but I've found a free program called "Gaia" ( http://www.TheCarbonProject.com ) that, so far, appe...

Re: Use Ozimapconverter
Let me reply to my own message to give this forum some more dynamics: For me Ozimapconverter helped a lot, you should try it: http://www.ada.ru/GPS/OziMapConverter/index_en.htm Joost de Haan Thanks for the tip Joost - I will definitely be giving this converter a try. Now if I could find a utility t...

I've done the same - But using GPSBabel only converts the coordinates - It doesn't include the text pages which are included in the GPX file. (Basically the geocaching page associated with each cache) - Nice to have with you in electronic format rather than having to either print them out or switch ...

Tap point to view description
As someone who uses Pathaway primarily for Geocaching, I would love to see a feature whereby I could tap a geocache "point" icon to display the "Point Info" screen and have an option on that screen to display the geocache description page that was downloaded in the associated .GPX file from Geocachi...
