On my hx4700 with external GPS mouse, the GPS connection is lost on resume from standyby, too. Even, when there is a already a fix before switching on! The icon still shows several satellites, but actually it is not working and updating position. So I always have to disconnect/reconnect after resume...

Manually stitching a Map from scanned images with GIMP

If you are not satisfied with results of PanaVue or another Panorama Stitching program, do it manually: 1. Install Gimp and the GTK (http://www.gimp.org/downloads) Both have a (Windows) Installer. Please use >= 2.3.9 Be aware: When using multiple monitors, the user install windows might open on wron...

I already asked Scott, if it would be possible, to make more use of the touchscreen (like with TomTom, which is usable very well with gloves) E.g. four 'ghost'-softkeys in the corners of the screen to zoom/scale in/out. This would ease the usage of Pathaway a lot, in my opinion. Currently there is n...

I think there is no one (maybe except Scott, which would have to do the work :-/ who is not wanting, that the position marker is *always* at the GPS position. When moved outside the visible area (screen), the marker could get stuck at the screen border to visualize where the map has been moved to an...

MM 4.00.04 and 8Bit Colordepth?

There seems to be no V4 8 Bit colour depth import in the new MM. When selecting 8Bit colour depth in TTQV4, it is able to create (from an 8Bit BMP) a .prc of about less than halve the size of the 16-Bit file. And it must be V4 also, cause the the old 3.x 8Bit Format (of MM) is *much* bigger!! It wou...

At my tests with .37 not every route point gets added like expected. Some points are still added inbetween the next/previous two points.

Thank you.

The Configurable keys are on the Options->Preferences->Hard Keys. There is currently no extended Command support for other keyboard keys. Sorry for not beeing precise. I'm not talking about hardkeys, but the chars entered by keyboard (onscreen or external) I found at least one other key-command: 'p...

Key assignment

Where is the key assignment documented? (like 'c' for Connect or arrow up, down, left, right for scale/zoom in/out, etc) I'd like to use a small BT keyboard for remote access and need to know what functions are available with it and what keys do I need on the keyboard. Is it configurable via registr...

Map Popup Menue 'Add Rout Point'->'Insert' changed

I seems to me, that the behaviour of 'Add Rout Point/Insert' changed. With version 3 the point got added inbetween the closest two existing points (as it is still described in the manual: 'PathAway will insert the new point between the two closest points along the route..' But with 4.00.34, the new ...

Hardkeys

We are working very hard to complete the release of PathAway 4. It will be out very soon. [..] You need to turn "On" Hard Keys, then set the individual setting to "System Setting" in order to have the key perform the default function. Yes, but not the secondary function, by holding the key a little...

Dear Scott, I tryed to import the 8Bit files with 16Bit and then change the color depth inside MM. This gives even worse results: Completely wrong colours. This is ununsabel IMHO. Then I wondered what 'Resample Original' does. After reading the manual I would suggest to name the menu command: 'Rerea...

8Bit Import Bug

Dear Scott, I found the very same, when importing 8Bit BMP files into Mapmanager 3.1. I will send you an example map and a picture showing the differences in two running MMs. Please explain this behaviour and provide a workaround (except using 16 Bit, this will not fit even on my 4GB CF card). Thank...

motorcycle usage

When having gloves on, it would be really helpfull, if: - the four edges of the touchscreen could be used to scale and zoom in and out (or be mapped to any other function, like with the hardkeys) with the active area adjustable because of different resolutions/screen sizes. This *might* be limited t...
