I second that!

@Scott:
It's been a long time since we had really new features ;-). Profiles would be great and reliable alarms in pocket mode are really a must.

Are you already working on PW5.0?

Thanks Guenther

Hi Hymie,

I had a similiar effect when I imported routes from TTQV. The solution was there to select the route and call "Rebuild database" once.

Alarm volume settings to be saved in preferences

Hi Scott, During my hiking trip to Italy last week I missed once an alarm telling me that the GPS connection was lost. The cause for this was some other program has set the "game volume settings" to 0. :( As PW uses the "game volume settings" for its alarms this can be very annoying because the user...

Hi Scott, I just came back from a bike trip which I also used to test a little bit PW. The bug is also in 4.00.59 which I used today. I can send you a debug version if necessary. That'd be great. Why not having a download area where interested users can dl a debug version? Does it only crash on exit...

Provide a debug version to nail down error faster

Hi Scott, As pointed out in another thread I might be a good idea to compile a special debug version of PW. Often PW causes a reset or some other misbehaviour without giving a clue what was the reason. I'm the author of Vocabulary Cards, a freeware flashcard program for PalmOS. Most of my users work...

Fixed: Treo 650 resets at PW exit after track recording

Hi Scott, I don't know when it has started, but at least all 4.00.6x versions cause a reset at my Treo 650. I recorded some tracks when cycling. The "length" were between 400 and 2000 track points. At home I exited PW and this caused a reset immediately. Unfortunately the only hint I got was "Fatal ...

Is there a limit for the number of maps?

Hi Scott, During my preparations for my next trip I have created a lot of maps for hiking. In sum I have around 200 maps with a size between 2MB and 10MB. They take about 500-600MB space on my SD card. To have a better overview I have organized them in 10 different folders. When I add all folders to...

Unticking of Registered Folders does not work

Hi Scott, I have reported this bug already last summer, but it is still not fixed. During my preparations for my next trip I created a lot of maps which I organized in several folders on my SD card. Because indexing maps with roughly 500 MB in total takes a lot of time and can cause also sometimes a...

I've checked it with 4.00.50 and my Treo650. I cannot reproduce the bug.
Just a thought: where have you stored the tracks? On the SD-Card?
Have you used some unusual characters?

Maybe you should try 4.00.52.

Bug: Zooming in or out has puzzled sequence

Hi Scott, I think I have found two smaller bugs in version 4.00.48... 1) Folder list: You can untick a folder, but when you leave and re-enter the dialog it is still ticked. 2) This bug is more annoying: I have maps for an area of different scale on my Treo. For example I have a folder Top25 where m...

I've experienced also the soft reset on my Treo. Menu is displayed correctly now. After some testing I found out that the soft reset only happens when "Timer Comm" in the Advanced menu is not checked. Maybe the bug is related to the new GPS connection lost alarm which by the way works very good. HTH...
