FIXED: Distance to dest doesn't provide expected result

Hi, I have a route (see attached file) that I import in PathAway (4.00.80 on Palm TX). Everything runs fine. I ask to go forward on the route and go to the route. It shows fine in red on my map. I have about 360 points. The only problem is that the DTD displays does not show the real distance to the...

Hi Hartmut: Thanks for the tip but it will not do. I already have the maps and I want to put them in Pathaway. I have troubles doing this because it seems that the projection used by the swiss topographic maps is different than what Pathwaway takes. Besides, once the maps on pathaway I would like to...

Hi CHMAPS, By the way: where do you get your maps from. I have Swiss Map Topo 25 yet it is a real pain to export the bit maps and have them calibrated. I have been trying to get them also export location points but they told be they could not do this for copyright reasons?! What projection do you us...

Hi, I would love to see this grid supported by PA. I am using Pathaway amongs other hicking in the Swiss Apls. Having the grid would help us communicate with co-hickers who are not equipped with PA, i.e. use a paper map. Besides many people in Switzerland have been train by long army time to "feel" ...

Data transfer utility crashes on CSV import

Hi, When I try to import the attached park.csv file into a Palm file with the data transfer utility the program just crashes down. Note that the very same file can be imported from PA fine. I select convert, transfer selected file, excel format, automatic type selection, expert all types, PAL OS out...

Hi Scott,

Thanks for looking into this. I have just downloaded .71 and it has the same erroneous behavior. By the way, I noted that the coordinates PathAway jumps to has only the latitude set to 0, the longitude is still the correct value.

Thanks again.

Measurements on tracks and routes

Hi, Wouldn't it be nice to take a few measurements between any 2 points on a track or a route? Measurements should naturally be along the track/route. Something like distance, duration, averrage speed, max speed, delta altitude and possibly for people using PathAway for hicking total amount meters w...

Hi I get the same results on the latest .71 version downloaded today and a Palm Tx. I go to tracks and pick one track and select details. My Palm work for a while (rather long while for a long track!) and it brings the distance of 0.0 m. It does the same thing on routes. Any clue what the issue is? ...

Hi Scott: Thanks for looking into this. It is realy easy to reproduce and it it seems that it happens with any tracks on my side. At least it happens with the track attached but I picked one out of any. I hope you will find out what the issue is. It is more probably a more general issue in the manag...

Hi Jicete,

Still running around? I found an other site which might do. Since the one you mentionned above does not work properly anymore you might want to try this one too. http://www.clickroute.de/

Hope this helps.

Hi Tom: I guess I undesrtood what you are trying to do. Having different setup profiles to allow quick and simple switching between the optimal setups for the many different applications PA can be used for. I would even extend the usage of profiles. It would be neat to have this not only for the tra...

Hi dsops Thanks for requesting this function on your side. I posted already a while back something along these lines. Unfortunatly with no feedback. Alternatively you can setup a sound for the Palm to inform you that you lost communication. Unfortunatly there is a bug which make this sound not sound...

Showing a track points does strange things and even crashes

Hi I have a track being displayed and I click on a point of the track. A pop up shows the point number and the position of the points. If I click on the position then the details of the point are being displayed. If I touch the show button then the position jumps mostly to lat 0/long 0 position. In ...

Would be really good. Any feature which helps calibrate maps are important since this process is really time consuming and difficult to get right.
