Support of the swiss rando format for Swiss topographic maps

Hi, I am still using a concurrent product because it supports the swiss rando map file format from swissgeo.ch. This is really a great site for hicking in Switzerland but I would love to be able to use PA instead of Tracker. Any chance to have this format supported? Thanks for concidering the reques...

Resolved: Routes based on imported GPX

Hi, I have a GPX file which holds a route generated by Google Earth (converted from KML to POIEdit). When I import the file in PA as points everything looks fine. I do the same thing from the routes menu it does not work. The import seems to complete correctly but the route route is empty. Any reaso...

Hi Thanks both for your help yet I believe you misunderstood my problem. I import a pre formated CSV file into PA using the import function in the point databases menu. I do not use any DLL or utility to transfer my file. I just prepare the CSV file on Windows generating the proper format (see attac...

Hi Scott: I tried this again with version 4.00.63 and it seems to work perfectly fine. Mixing predefined points with other non identifed location and using different scenarios to insert the points in the route worked. I could not do this earlier. Was anything done to address the issue or is this a s...

Hi Scott: The 320 by 480 on the TX works fine. I have not tried the utility on my T3 yet I assume it will work fine. I have tried the upgrade 4.00.63. My understanding is that it should increase the size of the notes for points and should solve the spurious crahes when a note is too large. The newes...

Hi Jicete: If you are running in Switzerland I have a solution for you. Yet I guess Bordeaux is somewhat too far, isn't it? If you do run in Switzerland then try swissgeo.ch. I would assume that you can find a similar service in France. Actually any topographic software would probably do. Good luck!

Hi Scott:

This sounds great thanks. If you can also take the opportunity to support the full T3/TX screen (including horizontal display) this would be great. Because now it works only on the 320 x 320 windows.

Please let me know...

Thank you.

Hi Jicete: I actually also used Tracker. I find PathAway much more feature rich than Tracker and much more stable on a PalmTX. Yet I love Tracker because of its plug in with the Swiss topographic maps. This would be nice to have this with PathAway. Anyhow, with Tracker I can run much longer on batte...

Hi Scott: This helps. The access to the notes as you mentioned it is significantly better. Is there any way of increasing this limit to 8000 or 16000 characters? If you start cut and pasting information about point of interrests from the internet you rather quickly reach more than 4000 characters. T...

Large point notes crashes the palm

Hi When I import points with a large note ( more than 4000 characters), the Palm goes into a reset after completing the import procedure. The imported points are not available after reset. What is the actual maximum for a note? What is the the maximum for all the notes in a point database. I am tryi...

Fixed: Position erroeously recorded when added to a route

Hi When I use a point of my point data bases and add them to a route, the point is correctly added in the proper sequence yet, the position information are totally wrong. I go to the route menu, chose routes, select a route and edit points. I then add a point, find any point in my point database, se...
