Long/Lat when calibrating map

Postby rmandel » Fri Jun 15, 2007 6:28 pm

It would be nice, once a map is calibrated to have crosshairs and a long/lat display. It would make it easier to know if you have properly calibrated the map by being able to mouse to a known location.

I support this. Some weeks ago I captured a map from the internet, calibrated it and tried it out, but something was wrong. It took some time until I found out that the map was turned by 4 degrees. So I think it is very important to check some known points to make sure that the map is correctly calibrated.

Would be really good. Any feature which helps calibrate maps are important since this process is really time consuming and difficult to get right.
