Postby udi » Tue Dec 06, 2005 11:14 am

Hi,
I can barely use pathaway V3 with my T3 and BT-338 for 1.5 hours ! and this is with the lcd dimmed to max .
I tried using "dimmer" but it does not help.
any suggestions how to save battery life ?

Thanks,
udi.

If you set your Tracking interval to less frequent, then there will be much less activity required as you travel. Setting it to 10 or 20 seconds should make a difference.
Note, PathAway 4 has a new power saving mode that will save power even more.

Postby udi » Tue Dec 06, 2005 10:26 pm

Hi scott and thanks,
I am already using 30 minutes track interval so I can only move to highier interval - 1 minute or more.
would it help if i move the maps to internal memory rather than expantion-card ?
when is version 4 due to be released ? is beta version avail ?
thanks,
udi.

Having maps in internal memory will help slightly, but PathAway caches the loaded portions of the map, so there would not likely be much difference unless you're travelling quickly across the maps. (forcing new portions to be loaded continuously).
