FIXED: Data Transfer Utility crashes

On attempting to send/convert a GPX file for Palm PDA using the Pathaway Data Transfer utility, the utility consistently crashes.

In case I am incorrectly using the utility, I have taken screen shots of each step of the process, displayed in order below:

Image1: Crash occurs regardless whether the first or 3rd radio button option is selected.

I've tried a number of GPX files both small and large. Each consistently produces the same results. The one shown here is attached to this post below.

The GPX file contains Geocaching point info. Whether "Autodetect" or "Point" is chosen, the result is the same.

Whether transferring to SD card or Handheld internal memory, the result is the same.

The resulting windows error occurs just after the word "Sending..."
appears on the Data Transfer Utility window.

To date, I have not found a way to successfully import a GPX file into Pathaway 4, whether directly using the Pathaway Import function (crashes PDA - Reported here) or using the Data Transfer Utility (crashes in Windows)

I hope all this detail is enough to help to narrow down the problem. Associated files are attached below.

This should now work.

Please download and try the updated DTU at http://pathaway.com/convert.htm

Version number is 4.00.06

Looks good Scott - The data transfer utility doesn't crash anymore when converting a GPX file.

I had hoped that the new utility would extract a little more info for Pathaway though... Like perhaps displaying the contents of the <groundspeak:short_description> tag on the point note page.

Ah well, Cachemate is still a pretty good companion to Pathaway for Geocaching purposes.

Thanks for the fix..

We'll be adding the Groundspeak tags very soon.
