Connecting to SpecTec SD GPS receiver

Postby TomoHawk » Sun Dec 02, 2007 1:24 am

Hello from Ohio!

I'm trying to configure a SpecTec SD GPS receiver to my Palm Tungsten E, and I'm having difficulty connecting.

So far I have installed the SDIO UART driver, and the SDIO serial driver. I have changed the UART settings to 9600,N,8,1 and block mode. The flow control is currently set to hardware. Did I leave anything out? with the UART app running, I get some data flow when I insert the GPS receiver, which tells me that something is working.

The installation documents from Spectec say that the T|E is compatible, but no luck so far. Pathaway was succesfully testes, as were cotoGPS, both of which I have.

So currently I am trying to get TripAway to detect the GPS receiver, with no luck so far.

Any ideas?

thx
