hello everybody out there.

I run Pathaway 4 Vers.*4.00.26 on a Military PDA (Win Mobile 2003 SE 4.21.1088;Xscale PXA255 Processor; 121.29 MB Memory). Now I like to connect to my new BT GPS (GNS GPS 5843, which features sirf and TCM). Besides the standard trouble to connect to the BT GPS(NMEA), which i finally mastered. It appears that Pathaway 4 cannot handle the the Baudrate of 38400. After connection PW 4 is working well for about 5 min. and then seems to stall due to data overload. The same procedure when I change the baudrate to 4800 or any value in between.

Did anybody face the same problems, or does have a solution for it??

Your help is appreciated

I run a hx 4700 together with a holux 236 Bluetooth GPS with PW 4.027 and 38.000 without problems.

I have a similar problem with my O2 Xda mini running on Pathaway 4.00.28 with Navilock BT-338 GPS Receiver.
The device freezes after running an arbitrary time and only pressing the reset button can make it work again. Afterwards it often has a connection problem that sometimes can be solved by switch bluetooth off and on.
Any help on this would be appriciated.

After the reset I get the message:
RegisterDevice Err 2404
and later
Unable to configure serial port. Die Zugriffsnummer ist nicht definiert.

Hi Michael, I have found a working solution on PW 4, and also a solution which after only a few tries reestablish the BT. However, as the devices where meant to a customer of mine I have decided to return the BT mouse and confinced the customer to stick with the inbuilt GPS of the PDA.

Solutions
1. BT working, using the BT Mouse and Pathaway. Under Settings, memory I have set the "use for Program" memory to approx.75 % of the inbuild memory. For this PDA no problem as all software runs on the SDMMC or CF Cards
2. Connecting the BT, it is a bid weird and there is no logic in it but it works: - open setting - connection - BT - open the tab for com ports. mark the incoming port - press ok.
Then open the BT manager mark the item itself and press ok.
This procedure, sometimes I have to repeat twice or trice usally helps to establish the BT connection between pw and the bt mouse.

cheers Klaus

Me thinks I found a solution. 38.400 baud doesn't work well(only a few minutes) See:
