|
|
Hi,
I have been successfully using Pathaway on my Palm TX for a while, but have now upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy 5 and have purchased the Android version of Pathaway.
I'm having trouble getting some maps to be recognised, on both the TX and the Android device.
What is the difference between .PDB and .PRC files?
GPS Babel converts .OSM files to .PDB files supposedly for Pathaway, but they won't work.
I'm obviously missing something pretty basic!
Some assistance would be very much appreciated!
Thank you
Chris |

The .PRC files are PathAway format raster maps. Place these maps directly into your /sdcard/PathAway folder and PathAway will read them.
.PDB are PalmOS formatted database files. To use these in PathAway for Android, they have to be exported to gpx, kml, or PathAway Delimited format .pw*. See the Data Converstion Utility http://pathaway.com/convert.htm
PathAway for Android imports GPX, KML, or PathAway Delimited files via the "Import" option in the PathAway Data menu. So if you have .OSM files, then use GPS Babel to convert them to one of these formats for import.
Hope this clarifies things. |
