I have two Palm Treo 700p's. Both have Pathaway 4 on them.
I also have TomTom Nav 6 and Delorme SA Topo on both, and both these apps see my Holux 236 NMEA via bluetooth great, all the time.
BUT, on one of my 700p's, it tells me PathAway doesn't see my GPS unit, and I get the "No GPS Device Found Err:779" after about 5 seconds.
Of course I then try TomTom and Delorme and they both pick it up and work right away....back and forth, on/oof, etc trys have no effect
The most frustrating thing is that the other 700p, same version and vintage, sees my Holux via Bluetooth right away on PathAway.
And, yes, I made all the settings the same, and also changed them all to all possible combinations
Anybody know anything about Holux Bluetooth (Palm Nav is the same one) needing special settings, or about palm bluetooth versions, abilitys, etc.?
Thanks
Scott

error 779 for holux bluetooth on palm
I read some replys and tried them....now it works. I need to select one of the three ports listed under bluetooth...I used frco...don't know what it means ...and yes, the older versions show them before just as black squares. the .08 version gives them 4 letter codes
thank you everyone who already figured this one out.
