MuskokaTech Releases PathAway GPS 5 for Android Smartphones and Tablets

Long-time leading GPS mobile software now available on the Android Platform.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada, January 23, 2012 -- MuskokaTech; a leading provider of GPS Navigation, Tracking, and mapping software for mobile devices, have announced the release of PathAway GPS 5 for Android Smartphones and Tablets. Since 2000 PathAway has been a productive GPS tool on multiple mobile platforms and has now most recently been delivered on the Android platform.

PathAway is an all-purpose moving map GPS software application for off-road recreational and professional use. Key features of PathAway include the ability to download online maps of different types and sources and cache them offline for use when no wireless data connectivity is available. In addition, users can create customized navigational maps via PathAway tools or 3rd party sources. Other features include features to perform extensive GPS track logging and point capture; navigate using multi-point routing via user created routes, or recorded tracks; and view a host of navigational information on a customizable dashboard. PathAway can import and export between the standard GPS data formats such as GPX, KML, KMZ, LOC, and CSV.

• Maps from Anywhere
  Import a wide array of map and graphic formats using the free Map Manager, or third-party Desktop Mapping Software. Maps are highly compressed and optimized for mobile devices, so very large maps can be used efficiently. PathAway maps are also compatible with all existing PathAway Maps from other handheld operating systems. • Intelligent Moving Map Display
  As you travel, PathAway will center the map on your position. When you exit the boundary of one map and enter another, PathAway can be setup to automatically switch to the new map. Stats such as ground speed, average and max speed, and vertical climbe/descent speed. elevation, geographic coordinates, directional heading/ ground distance/vertical distance/vertical angle to next point, or destination. Odometer, elapsed time, Estimated time enroute. Over 35 dash items to choose from.
• Customizable Compass View
  Customizable Large Compass view screens showing Heading, Direction to Next Point, or any other available navigation data. View multiple Compasses on the screen at the same time, or a single large compass.
• Import Data Formats
  Google Earth KML, KMZ, GPX, LOC, and other formats supported.
